5.0 INTERVIEWS <br />5.1 Interview with Client <br />Brent Holfman was interviewed by questionnaire. In his responses, dated April 8, <br />2022, he indicated that he purchased the Site in 2014; the Site had been <br />previously used for agriculture. Mr. Holfman indicated that the house on the Site <br />was built in the 1920s, and he did not know the age of the barn. He stated that a <br />chicken coop and possibly a carport had been located on the Site in the past. <br />Mr. Holfman stated that the almond orchard on the Site has been treated with <br />fungicides and herbicides and is tested periodically for agricultural reasons; he <br />attached an Irrigation and Nitrogen Management Plan Worksheet as typical of <br />the sort of testing conducted. Mr. Holfman was not aware of any fuel tanks, <br />chemical storage, chemical spills, or other environmental issues affecting the <br />Site. The questionnaire is attached as Appendix 4 of this report. <br />Mr. Holfman was briefly interviewer by telephone on March 23, 2022. He stated <br />that a wind machine is located north of the irrigation pipeline crossing the Site, in <br />the past, it was powered by a mobile fuel tank, but it has not been used in many <br />years, and no tanks are present at this time. Mr. Holfman stated that the plastic <br />tank behind the shop is only used for water. He indicated that he will properly <br />store or dispose of the buckets and containers from that area. <br />6.0 SITE DOCUMENTS <br />6.1 Environmental Health Department Records <br />Hazardous Materials Records <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department was contacted <br />regarding the Site address of 7272 East Lathrop Road, Manteca. Laura Sauers <br />of that office indicated that no hazardous materials records were identified <br />(personal communication, March 23, 2022). <br />Well & Septic Permits <br />Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br />well and septic permit files for the Site address of 7272 East Lathrop Road. Two <br />permits were identified: <br />• July 1976 permit for new domestic well. The grout seal was placed 50 <br />feet deep. The permit notes, "old well must be destroyed under permit;" it <br />describes the old well as four inches in diameter and 30 feet deep. <br />LOGE 2216 4 <br />
