PES Environmental , Inc . <br /> The scope of work for Supplemental Investigation Workplan includes the following activities : <br /> ( 1 ) field preparation tasks ; (2) collection of subsurface data ; and (3 ) data evaluation and <br /> reporting . The proposed scope of work to be conducted is presented below . <br /> 2 . 2 Field Preparation Activities <br /> The following activities will be performed prior to the commencement of field sampling <br /> activities : <br /> • Modify the site - specific Health and Safety Plan (HASP) in accordance with applicable <br /> occupational safety and health requirements ; <br /> • Obtain drilling permits as required from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJCEHD ) and the local Reclamation District ; <br /> • Contact Underground Services Alert for public utility clearance ; <br /> • Retain and schedule drilling and laboratory subcontractors ; and <br /> • Perform utility clearances at sampling locations . <br /> 2 . 3 Field Investigation <br /> 2 . 3 . 1 Grab - Groundwater Investigation <br /> 2 . 3 . 1 . 1 Grab - Groundwater Locations <br /> Grab - groundwater locations have been selected to evaluate the nature and extent of <br /> groundwater conditions in the vicinity of MWP - 4 west of OIP - 14 and MWP4 <br /> g Y <br /> where LNAPL has been observed towards the White Slough , and in the vicinity of <br /> ( ) g Y <br /> Well No . 2 where recent ' petroleum hydrocarbon constituents have been detected in water <br /> supply system monitoring samples . As shown on Plate 1 , sampling locations are proposed <br /> as follows : ( 1 ) one sampling location roughly between MWP - 4 and MWP - 9 where an <br /> aboveground fuel storage tank (AST) is suspected to have been formerly located ; <br /> (2) one sampling location between MWP - 1 and the White Slough to assess shallow <br /> groundwater conditions ; and (3 ) one sampling location east of Well No . 2 (the on- site <br /> water supply well) to assess shallow groundwater conditions at the adjacent boat repair facility . <br /> 2 . 3 . 1 . 2 Grab - Groundwater Sampling and Analytical Methods <br /> A direct-push rig equipped with a displacement point attached to the bottom of the drive casing <br /> will be used to advance the grab groundwater borings . Continuous soil cores will not be <br /> collected to reduce costs associated with the limited groundwater investigation activities . <br /> PES , 2021 .
