It is preferred that maps and sketches be oriented so that north is towards the top of each page. <br />3.2.3 Record Observations <br />Events and observations that should be recorded include, but are not limited to: <br />• Changes in weather that may impact field activities <br />• Deviations from procedures outlined in any governing document (also record the reason for any noted deviation) <br />• Problems, downtime, or delays <br />• Upgrade or downgrade of personal protective equipment <br />• All task members and visitors <br />• Actual and background readings of health and safety monitoring equipment <br />• Identification of equipment used, including model numbers and/or serial identification numbers <br />• Start and end times of sample locations <br />• Decontamination times and methods <br />3.2.4 Record samples <br />Record the following when collecting samples: <br />• Sample location <br />• Sample number <br />• Sample methodology <br />• Sample description <br />• Sample collector <br />• Sample depth <br />• Sample type <br />• Sample analyses requested <br />• Sample preservation and confirmation <br />• Quality control (QC) sample numbers and types <br />3.3 Visual Recordings <br />Visual recordings (photographs or video recordings) will be documented in the associated field logbook. <br />3.3.1 Photographs <br />At the start of the day, record the weather conditions in the Field Logbook. The weather should also be noted if site conditions change (e.g., weather goes from clear to overcast) throughout the day. <br />
