Fairmont Ave., Lodi, CA 95240 <br /> o HSC Section 118310—Enclosure Labeled. The designated accumulation area for <br /> Lodi Memorial Hospital did not have the appropriate signage posted. "Caution— <br /> Biohazardous Waste Storage Area—Unauthorized persons Keep Out", in both <br /> English and Spanish. <br /> ■ The appropriate sign has been affixed to the gate leading into the <br /> Biohazardous Storage area. Please see attached photo. <br /> o HSC Section 118275 (g)—Pharmaceutical Label/Storage. At the Lodi Memorial <br /> Hospital,the various sharps containers revealed pharmaceutical waste being <br /> incorrectly placed in the red sharps containers. The Pharmaceutical waste must be <br /> placed in containers(blue)Labeled with"Incineration Only"labels on the lids and <br /> sides so as to be visible from any lateral direction. <br /> ■ In July and September 2013 education was completed on line for mandatory <br /> Online Nursing Training Module which had one component of segregation of <br /> the medical pharmaceutical waste program. <br /> ■ Ongoing education is completed annually with Nursing that also contains <br /> components to discuss the segregation of medical waste and appropriate <br /> containers to use. <br /> ■ Each nursing unit displays signage to indicate appropriate disposal of <br /> medications and sharps. <br />
