properties." The case was closed by the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board in 2013. Based on the status of the investigation
and distance from the Site, this facility is not anticipated to have impacted
the Site.
• T Automotive Services, 1045 S. Adelbert Ave., approximately 140 feet
south of the Site, Underground Storage Tanks list. Live Oak reviewed
records on file for this facility at the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department. According to records reviewed, this property appears
to be co-located with Hershel Vance, 4125 E. Main St. (discussed above).
• Jay's Motors, 4126 E. Main St., approximately 220 feet south-southeast of
the Site, Underground Storage Tanks list. Live Oak reviewed records on
file for this facility at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department. According to records reviewed, a 10,000-gallon diesel UST,
two 5,000-gallon diesel USTs, and a waste oil tank were removed from
this facility in 1987. No contamination was detected in soil samples
collected from the excavation. A 1994 letter from the Environmental
Health Division indicated that site closure could not be provided without
further investigation, though the facility was not considered contaminated.
Based on the lack of contamination found, as well as the extensive
ground-water investigation at Jamar Service which covered the nearby
area, this facility is not anticipated to have impacted the subject Site.
• Town & Country Hay & Feed, 4245 E. Main St., approximately 330 feet
southeast of the Site, Underground Storage Tanks and Complaints lists.
Live Oak reviewed records on file for this facility at the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department. According to records
reviewed, a fuel station was located on this property pre-1940. Three
USTs were abandoned prior to 1984. By 1994, one tank had been
removed, and two were believed to be located under a building. A
complaint from 2007 indicated waste oil containers stored in the back yard
of a residence. Very little information is available about the USTs at this
facility. However, based on the extensive ground-water investigation at
Jamar Service which covered the area between this facility and the
subject Site, this facility is not anticipated to have impacted the subject
Site.
• Residence, 925 S. Oro Ave, adjacent to the west of the Site, Complaints
list. A 2002 complaint alleged that "neighbor changed oil in front of house.
4-5 quarts of motor oil ran into gutter and will run into storm drain." Live
Oak reviewed records on file for this complaint at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department. It appears that a resident's car had
been leaking oil onto the asphalt; a notice was left recommending that
used oil be collected and properly disposed. Due to the minor nature of
this incident, no impact to the subject Site is anticipated.
LOGE 2251 10
