In the event of imminent or actual emergency, the Emergency Coordinator must implement the plan as follows: Notify all concerned of the emergency situation including plant personnel, contractors onsite and neighbors as applicable. Analyze the emergency situation. Initiate the appropriate corrective action. Secure the emergency scene. Clean-up the emergency scene. Working with Regional Operations staff, file reports with company and regulatory agencies as appropriate and required. Ill. Alternate Emergency Coordinator(s) Anyone assigned the duty of Alternate Emergency Coordinator shall be responsible for carrying out the duties of the Emergency Coordinator in his/her absence. The Alternate Emergency Coordinator(s) must be fully aware of the procedures and requirements of this plan. IV. First Aid Team Leader(s) It is the responsibility of the First Aid Team Leader(s), with the assistance and direction of the Emergency Coordinator, to insure that all personnel assigned the responsibility as a First Aid Team member are familiar with their responsibilities under this plan. He/she will ensure that all equipment used by the First Aid Team is on hand, in operating condition and specifically identified and set aside for use by the First Aid Team. He/she will coordinate First Aid Team(s) during emergencies. He/she will assist personnel that are trained in first aid and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of first aid equipment and techniques. V. Fire/Spill Response Team Leader(s) It is the responsibility of the Fire/Spill Response Team Leader(s), with assistance and direction from the Emergency Coordinator, to ensure that all personnel with fire and spill control responsibilities are familiar with their function under this plan.
