Alaniz. <br />9:30 PM — Stopped working. <br />07/17/2023 Phoned Baldo Velazquez of Patriot to follow up on the clean-up. Per Baldo, Patriot SAETERN <br />had stayed on the facility until 4 AM. They had replaced the absorbent pads <br />throughout the night by skimming and tabbing the top of the water for diesel. <br />Approximately, 4 drums was generated from the clean-up. Additional drums will be <br />included once clean-up is finalize. Obtained contact information for the next <br />supervisor on site, Lupe Paezaalleillillip <br />Phoned Lupe Paeza, who stated he had observed a few stained booms and pads <br />and had those removed. They had replaced the booms with hard booms in the <br />and around the dock. 4 drums was generated thus far. One for liquid and 3 for <br />solids. He does not know if they will be labeling the waste as hazardous waste or <br />non hazardous at this time. Per Lupe, he will have to discussed the disposal with <br />their waste management team. <br />Received phone call from Matt Muslfo, Patriots project manage <br />Per man, hard booms had been placed around the entire dock."11.111P <br />can still be observed in the water. Per Matt, the owner of the boat removed three <br />15 gallons bucket of red diesel that was placed inside a 55 gallon drum. Per Matt, <br />he will have to discuss with their waste management team to properly dispose of <br />the waste generate. Per Matt, he does not make the determination for when the <br />clean-up is completed, that is up to the owner or agencies whose jurisdiction is the <br />water. Informed him to keep EHD informed of the situation and to notified EHD <br />within the hour of finalizing the clean-up. <br />Received phone call from Matt Muslfo, Project Manager for Patriot Environmental. <br />Per Matt, the US Coast Guard came out and walked the dock. They are happy <br />with the clean-up but had requested that Patriot Environmental to remove the <br />remaining absorbent pads and booms tomorrow 7/18/2023 morning. Additionally, <br />the US Coast Guard boarded the boat and observed red diesel inside the bilge of <br />the boat. The US Coast Guard had requested that Patriot Environmental to <br />remove remaining red diesel from the bilge of the boat. Per Matt, the US Coast <br />Guard gave the OK to remove the remaining absorbent pads and soft booms in <br />the water. Per Matt, Patriot Environmental are in corresponding with Fish & <br />Wildlife. <br />Updated E. Manzo, Program Coordinator. <br />07/18/2023 Phoned Matt Musolf, 916-347-8717, who stated they had removed the absorbent SAETERN <br />pads and soft booms from the water. They are going to remove the hard booms <br />from the water and it will take then approximately 3 hours. Updated E. Manzo. <br />Discussed with M. Suszycki, Lead REHS, regarding the clean-up. <br />Received three photos from Matt, two photos of hazardous waste labels for liquid <br />and solids, one photo of the Universal Manifest. Seventeen 55 gallons drums of <br />solids and two 55 gallons drums of liquids. All drums will be taken to Crosby & <br />Overton: 1630W 17th Street, Long Beach, CA 90813. <br />Phoned M. Suszycki, to inform him that the clean-up is nearly completed and it <br />needs confirmation of the final clean-up with Patriots. <br />07/18/2023 Created an inspection report and photographic log.
