Department of Toxic Substance Control compliant label (provided by the waste <br /> vendor) to the outside and write the start date of accumulation on the label. <br /> Container types and storage requirements can be found in Appendix D. <br /> Note: See Appendix D-1: RCRA Hazardous Waste Color Codes (SMF Only). <br /> H. Treatment/Disposal: <br /> 1. Biohazardous, red bag, sharps, pathology,trace chemotherapy and pharmaceutical <br /> waste shall be placed into the approved containers and hauled off site for treatment <br /> (i.e. autoclave or incineration) by the registered waste transporter. Regulated <br /> medical waste will be hauled off site at least every seven days if greater than 20 lbs. <br /> per month and at least every thirty days if less than 20 lbs. <br /> a. The registered waste transporter will supply the facility with shipping papers/ <br /> manifests that keeps the facility informed of the poundage on a monthly basis. <br /> 2. Medical and hazardous waste manifests shall be maintained on-site for at least 3 <br /> years in chronological order. Reference 46 CFR 172. Subpart C Sect. 172.201(e) for <br /> further information. <br /> J. Permitting: <br /> 1.
