FIR will conduct a site visit to pre-mark a total of three (3) proposed locations and contact USA Digalert <br /> to provide pre-clearance 72 hours prior to drilling. <br /> A geophysical survey will be conducted to evaluate potential subsurface features with environmental <br /> concerns such as backfilled former UST excavations, identify sewer lines, and identify utilities in the <br /> proposed drilling areas. <br /> The attached map (Figure 1) illustrates the proposed boring locations. A total of three (3) soil borings <br /> are proposed at selected locations at the subject property to a depth of 25 feet below ground surface <br /> (bgs). The table below summarizes proposed boring/sample depths, and analyses/testing methods. <br /> Proposed Borings Analysis Method <br /> Three (3) soil borings to a Analyze three (3) groundwater samples (one [1] EPA 8260B and <br /> depth of 25 feet bgs or sample per boring) for VOCs and TPH 8015B <br /> first groundwater. <br /> Notes:TPH =total petroleum hydrocarbons,full-range organics(gasoline, diesel, oil).VOCs=volatile organic compounds. <br /> Based on previous field conditions encountered at the subject property, groundwater is expected to be <br /> present between 22 and 25 feet bgs. <br /> Additional soil borings pertaining to further investigation will be excluded from this scope of work. In the <br /> event suspected contamination is encountered, FIR will inform client to discuss additional sampling if <br /> recommended (additional and/or deeper borings). An addendum and change order for additional soil <br /> sampling and laboratory analysis may be required for such scenarios. <br /> Exact locations of the soil borings will be determined at the time of pre-marking the site and after utilities <br /> are cleared. Note that the number of samples collected may vary depending on field conditions. <br /> Locations will be determined at time of field investigation and are anticipated to be within proximity to <br /> the suspect areas of concern. Analysis of soil samples will be chosen based on field observations, and/or <br /> PID readings. <br /> A report detailing the sampling methods used and results of laboratory analysis will be prepared. <br /> Groundwater Sampling Methodology <br /> • A full access and/or limited access push probe rig with a licensed operator will be mobilized to the <br /> site to complete the proposed scope of drilling and sampling activities. All down-hole sampling <br /> equipment will be cleaned before starting a soil boring, with a non-phosphate detergent and water <br /> before each use. <br /> 4 <br />
