If professional concrete coring is required due to
unforeseen adverse conditions at additional charge, FIR will notify the client for cost approval, prior
to additional costs being incurred to the project commencement.
• A 9-foot minimum overhead clearance will be available at all boring locations for adequate access.
• Concrete or asphalt patch will be sufficient to refinish the ground surface at each boring location. FIR
will not be responsible for replacing flooring at boring locations (e.g., tiles, carpet, epoxy seal, etc.)
beyond concrete or asphalt patch.
• In the event of stoppage in the field due to access issues, request by Client, or unforeseen adverse
conditions outside of FR's control, standby time may necessitate additional cost will be charged.
• Disposal of contaminated soil or water from investigation activities is excluded from this bid proposal
(not expected).
Limitations
• This cost estimate will remain valid for 90 days.
• All work will be performed as FIR, as such, FIR assumes responsibility for professional liability
insurance.
• The project will be conducted during normal business hours. FIR has assumed that property owner
would provide reasonable access to the business units and pertinent tenants (which are subject to
drilling and sampling). Should it be necessary to complete this work during the evening or weekend
hours to avoid negative impact to the operating businesses, overtime rates and additional charges
will be incurred by the drilling subcontractor and FR's personnel, and shall be charged to the Client.
• This cost estimate does not include additional sampling and laboratory analysis beyond that which is
outlined in the proposal. Should it be necessary to include additional samples for analysis, or drill
deeper soil borings for additional assessment, beyond the scope of this agreement, additional costs
will apply. Should contamination be discovered that warrants additional assessment and delineation,
a supplemental scope of work will be proposed.
Proposed Work Schedule
Schedule driller Available date to be determined
San Joaquin County Boring Permit 20 Business Days
Pre-drilling activity/Utility Clearance 5 Business Days (Non-expedited;
concurrent with permit)
Geophysical Survey % Business Day
Drilling/Sampling activity 1 Business Day
Laboratory Analysis 7 Business Days
(Normal Turnaround Time)
Final report 5 Business days after receipt of lab
results
6
