At 1:40am I called PE 2546 BAKER 180 min him again. He said that they are done with the trailer and ground in the leaker SC 974 area and are now heading to lot 7 clean that space up. He said they would be done in 30-40 minutes. Left house at 2:10am. Arrived on site at 2:25am. The inside of the trailer was wiped down and cleaned. Battery that tipped and spilled was wiped down and cleaned. The outside of the trailer was wiped down as well. Absorbent was placed on spill on concrete and swept up. Clean-up in leaker area of yard is complete. Unable to see inside of trailer because it would require climbing over the remaining load. Brandon Eck showed me photos that the clean-up was complete. Went to lot 7 to verify clean-up was complete. Absorbent was placed on spill area and swept up. Another trailer was put on top of the spill so it was lifted and wiped down as well. Clean-up is complete. One 55 gallon blue plastic drum of solid waste was generated from the clean-up. Waste was marked as hazardous waste and will remain on site until disposal. Left site at 2:50am and arrived home at 3:06 am. 1:30am-3:06am 09/13/2019 Emailed Jamie Haines of YRC to jamie.haines@yrcfreight.com for an update on PE 2546 BAKER 6 min the waste generated from this spill. SC 544 10/17/2019 Received copy of final disposal record, manifest 019704053JJK. Two-hundred PE 2546 BAKER 12 min pounds of absorbent and debris with battery acid was disposed of on 8/27/19.
