The following is an itemized list of CP22 - HW SQG violations that have not been <br />addressed for JC AIR ACADEMY INC as of July 31, 2025. <br />Open violations from September 03, 2024 inspection <br />Violation #26 - 3030017 - Containers of hazardous waste closed except when adding or removing waste. <br />OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br />- One 55 gallon metal drum observed in the hazardous waste storage area was overflowing with used oil filters . <br />- Four plastic 5 gallon container containing used oil was observed in the hazardous waste storage area inside the shop <br />was missing lids. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and storage , <br />except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br />when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the San <br />Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br />¨ This violation will be corrected by (date): ¨ This violation was corrected <br />¨ Supporting documents included <br />Violation #28 - 3030022 - Incompatible waste in containers managed properly to prevent a reaction. <br />OBSERVATION: The following incompatible wastes are stored in containers in a way that is not in compliance with <br />these sections: Multiple used filters were observed in a orange 5 gallon bucket without lids and are not placed into the <br />used oil filter drums. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations section 262.16. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately make changes to the hazardous waste storage to eliminate incompatible waste <br />storage. Describe how the waste storage has been changed to correct the violation.
