The following is an itemized list of CP22 - HW SQG violations that have not been <br />addressed for JC AIR ACADEMY INC as of July 31, 2025. <br />Open violations from September 03, 2024 inspection <br />Violation #29 - 3030058 - Empty containers > 5 gallons properly managed. <br />OBSERVATION: One 55 gallon drum observed in the storage shed was observed to be empty without labels. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Empty containers which previously held a hazardous material, including hazardous waste <br />must be managed per Title 22 California Code of Regulations (CCR) section 66261.7. Refer to this section and <br />California Department of Toxic Substances Control guidance for more information . <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label all empty containers with the date they were emptied and manage within <br />one year of that date. Manage the container per Title 22 CCR section 66261.7. Provide a corrective action statement <br />and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) within 30 days. <br /> <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br />¨ This violation will be corrected by (date): ¨ This violation was corrected <br />¨ Supporting documents included <br />Violation #38 - 3030004 - Properly manages used oil filters and fuel filters. <br />OBSERVATION: Containers of used metal oil or fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed <br />on-site. The following used metal oil or fuel filter containers were on-site: <br />- Multiple used filters were observed in a orange 5 gallon bucket without lids and are not placed into the used oil filter <br />drums. <br />- Three black 55 gallons drums were observed in the hazardous waste storage area with no accumulation start dates. <br />- One black 55 gallon drum was observed in the hazardous waste storage area <br /> <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil <br />Filters. California Health & Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately drain all metal oil and fuel filters of free-flowing liquid, store them in closed, <br />rainproof containers. Label the container with the words “drained used oil filters” or "used gasoline filters", depending <br />on the contents. Mark the container with an accumulation start date. Dispose of all used filters stored on-site greater <br />than one year. Used filters not stored, handled and disposed of according to this section are regulated as hazardous <br />waste. Provide a corrective action statement, disposal records and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin <br />County Environmental Health Department (EHD) within 30 days. <br /> <br />Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br />¨ This violation will be corrected by (date): ¨ This violation was corrected <br />¨ Supporting documents included <br />Page 4 of 5
