f) Slip Resistant Footwear—treaded rubber soles on the footwear that is designed to help prevent <br /> slipping. <br /> 3.0 Roles and Responsibilities <br /> 3.1 Managers/Supervisors <br /> a) Managers/Supervisors will review and understand the hazards and associated controls indicated <br /> in the specific JSA for any job they perform or for any job positions that they supervise. <br /> b) Managers/Supervisors are required to wear PPE as required for the job tasks they are <br /> performing. <br /> c) Where feasible, Managers/Supervisors should work to develop engineering and/or administrative <br /> controls to reduce the dependence on Personal Protective Equipment(PPE). <br /> d) Jobs where exposure conditions have changed will be re-evaluated by the Manager/Supervisor <br /> and the partners performing the job to determine PPE needs and applicable revisions to JSAs and <br /> the specific TBJSA. <br /> e) Managers/Supervisors must review and explain with partners the JSA(s)for the positions they <br /> perform in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Task-Based Job Safety Analysis (TBJSA) if available. <br /> f) Managers/Supervisors and/or competent persons must train partners in the proper use of PPE. <br /> g) Managers/Supervisors must ensure that appropriate PPE is worn. The partner must be wearing <br /> the PPE and using it properly. <br /> h) Managers/Supervisors must review how the PPE is issued and keep records to control equipment <br /> using the monthly inventory control review, and any equipment deficiencies. Once PPE is found to <br /> be deficient it must be taken out of service. Before the partner can resume work, he/she must be <br /> issued adequate working PPE that is able to provide the minimum safety protection for the partner. <br /> i) Managers/Supervisors will replace, at no charge to the partner, adequate PPE that is defective, <br /> damaged or worn. <br /> j) Managers/Supervisors not wearing the proper PPE accordingly to the JSA or TBJSA can result in <br /> disciplinary action up to and including immediate termination. <br /> k) Managers/Supervisors are required to ensure that all PPE stations are adequately stocked and <br /> inspected at least once a month. <br /> 3.2 Frontline Partners <br /> a)Any partner who performs a job or task must review, comprehend, and sign all appropriate JSA's <br /> that correlate to that job position. <br /> b) Partners are required to use and to comprehend how to properly wear the provided PPE when <br /> work assignment or operations present the risk of exposure to observed or potential hazards as <br /> described on the job or task-based JSA. <br /> c) Partners are responsible to maintain and inspect provided PPE. Partners shall notify their <br /> Supervisor if, upon inspection, the provided PPE is found to be defective or damaged. Partners shall <br /> not perform any work duty that requires PPE until the defective or damaged PPE is replaced with <br /> properly working PPE. <br /> Cintas PPE/JSA Program Reviewed 8/15/2025 5 of 11 <br />
