7.0 GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESEARCH
7.1 EPA Databases
The California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) manages contaminated
sites through two sub-agencies: the State Water Resources Control Board
(SWRCB) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). The
SWRCB's GeoTracker database includes underground storage tank (UST) sites,
leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites, cleanup program sites, and land
disposal sites. The database can be searched by reviewing two lists, the
Permitted Underground Storage Tank (UST) Sites list and the Cleanup Sites list.
DTSC's EnviroStor database includes Federal Superfund sites, State response
sites, voluntary cleanup sites, school cleanup sites, corrective action sites, and
permitted hazardous waste facilities.
Live Oak searched both databases on November 18, 2025 for any listed sites
within one-quarter mile of the Site. The subject Site was not listed on either
database, and no listed facilities were identified within the search radius.
7.2 Environmental Health Department Databases
Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
Site Mitigation Program, Local Oversight Program, Hazardous Materials
Business Plan & CalArp Programs, Hazardous Waste Generator Program,
Underground Storage Tank Program, Emergency Response, and Aboveground
Petroleum Storage Act Program databases, dated November 2025, for facilities
of concern within one-quarter mile of the Site.
The subject Site was included on the Hazardous Materials Business Plan &
CalArp Programs and Aboveground Petroleum Storage Act Program databases.
Records related to these listings have been discussed in Section 6.1, above.
Eight additional listed facilities were identified within the search radius:
• Ehlers Bros. Farming, 9009 W. Highway 12, adjacent to the northeast of
the Site, Hazardous Materials Business Plan & CalArp Programs,
Hazardous Waste Generator Program, and Aboveground Petroleum
Storage Act Program databases. This facility is located across Highway
12 from the Site, and its structure area is nearly one-quarter mile from the
Site. Based on the distance from the Site and the nature of the listings,
this facility is considered unlikely to have impacted the subject Site.
LOGE 2548 7
