Facility Response Plan <br /> Canary Renewables <br /> Page 30 <br /> Additional Response Training <br /> Patriot Environmental Services provides deployment and tabletop exercises to Canary Renewables. In <br /> addition, the Facility is also seeking training in emergency response and incident command system <br /> training, and equipment deployment exercises. <br /> Additional Contracted Help <br /> As mentioned earlier, Canary Renewables has contracted Patriot Environmental Services that can <br /> effectively and timely respond, manage,document,and mitigate an incident. <br /> Response training and practice drills <br /> Canary Renewables, in collaboration with Patriot Environmental Services, is to develop and implement a <br /> facility response training program that outlines the following: <br /> 1) Notification requirements and procedures. <br /> 2) Notification system used to notify on-site personnel. <br /> 3) Procedures to mitigate or prevent any discharge from the potential hazards identified in Section <br /> 1.4,this includes: <br /> a. Loading operations <br /> b. Transfer operations <br /> C. Failure of tank integrity <br /> d. Tank overfills <br /> e. Piping rupture <br /> 4) Responsibilities of emergency coordinators, including: <br /> a. Procedures for transferring responsibility for direction of response activities from Facility <br /> personnel to Patriot Environmental Services. <br /> b. Familiarity with Patriot Environmental Services and their services. <br /> c. Familiarity with contracting and order procedures to acquire Patriot Environmental Services. <br /> d. Familiarity with reporting requirements. <br /> e. Information on the material stored at the Facility, availability of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for worker health and <br /> safety as it pertains to the material on-site and the response activities. <br /> 5) Responsibilities of non-supervisory operational personnel. <br /> 6) Near misses and lessons learned. <br /> Canary Renewables provides training to all new employees and to all emergency coordinators. In <br /> addition, Canary Renewables is to conduct refresher training annually. <br /> Additional training drills and exercises are discussed in Section 1.8.2. <br /> 1.7.2 Disposal Plans <br /> Absorbent or spill-containment materials when no longer absorbent are to be placed in 55-gallon drums <br /> with secure covers and transported by a licensed transporter for proper disposal. Significant releases are to <br /> be pumped into a recovery drum or tank. The oil is to be properly disposed of in accordance with <br /> company policy and regulatory requirements. <br />
