AECOM <br /> 4.0 Procedure <br /> 4.1 Roles& Responsibilities <br /> 4.1.1 Manager <br /> • Identify conditions where overhead electric power lines and other overhead obstructions may <br /> be present and outline what is required in the SH&E Plan and Task Hazard Assessments. <br /> Refer to the S3AM-209-PR1 Risk Assessment&Management. <br /> • Confirm electrical and communication lines, and as appropriate other overhead obstructions, <br /> are identified on all site and project drawings. <br /> • Coordinate and communicate with overhead electrical line owner or operator to identify and <br /> implement appropriate control measures. <br /> o Provide adequate advance notification to the Overhead Electrical Line Owner/Operator <br /> to allow for insulation or isolation and grounding of the line(s)if required. <br /> o Confirm the Overhead Electrical Line Owner/Operator(s)are fully informed as to when <br /> the operations are to begin, end and when any location changes are planned if <br /> applicable. <br /> • Confirm Employees are trained as required for the scope of work and associated hazards. <br /> • Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors or employees working around overhead <br /> electric power lines and as applicable, other overhead obstructions. <br /> • Confirm the S3AM-322-FM1 Overhead Electric power lines Acknowledgement is completed by <br /> concurrent operations working around overhead electric power lines on the worksite. <br /> 4.1.2 Safety Health &Environment(SH&E) Manager <br /> • Assist and support the Manager in planning and responding to concerns regarding the <br /> exposure to overhead electric power lines. <br /> 4.1.3 Employees <br /> • Maintain current training required for the scope of work and associated hazards. <br /> • Inform the Manager of location conditions that may expose risks to overhead electric power <br /> lines. <br /> • Comply with established minimum approach distances. <br /> 4.2 Training <br /> 4.2.1 The Manager shall confirm all Employees are oriented to the SH&E Plan and Task Hazard <br /> Assessment(THA)process, in accordance with S3AM-209-PR1 Risk Assessment&Management. <br /> 4.2.2 Confirm training requirements were met prior to work starting. <br /> • Employee orientation shall include the Location Specific Emergency Response Plan. <br /> • Proof of training and orientation shall be documented and retained in the project files. <br /> 4.2.3 Managers shall confirm that each Employee has received training required for the scope of work <br /> and associated hazards in accordance with S3AM-003-PR1 SH&E Training. <br /> 4.2.4 Additional training requirements may include, but are not limited to: <br /> • The limitations of an insulating link/device, proximity alarm, and range control (and similar) <br /> device, if used. <br /> Overhead Lines&Obstructions(S3AM-322-PR1) <br /> Revision 3 July 31,2019 <br /> PRINTED COPIES ARE UNCONTROLLED.
