Pandemic COVID-19 Vaccine Policy
Interim Guidelines and FAQ
May, 2021
FAQs
Is AECOM mandating vaccines?
No. AECOM is strongly encouraging all employees to receive an approved vaccine when available and eligible.
Will employees be required to have the vaccine as a pre-condition to performing work?
No. AECOM is not requiring employees to have the vaccine before performing work in a workplace unless
otherwise required by local law, client demand, or other similar factors.
What if an AECOM client requires proof of vaccine to establish readiness to work?
Client service is critical to AECOM's success, and many of our clients operate in industries or in locations that
require enhanced safety protocols. Therefore, employees are required to abide by any client specific COVID-
19 health and safety requirements, including the requirement to demonstrate proof of vaccination. Employees
who have concerns about the nature of a client request, or about their ability to comply with those requests,
should reach out to their manager or their local Human Resources partner to explore alternative options
and/or available accommodations or adjustments.
What if an employee can't have the vaccine?
Generally, vaccination is not mandatory for AECOM employees. However, if vaccination is required for
aspects of the employee's job (e.g.,with international travel or by client request) and the employee is unable
or unwilling to be vaccinated,a discussion should take place with the manager and the local Human Resources
partner to explore possible accommodations or adjustments. While AECOM will seek to identify a mutually
agreeable solution, in some cases accommodations or adjustments may not be available.
Can vaccinated employees or visitors cease wearing masks/face-coverings in the workplace?
AECOM will continue to comply with applicable government guidance regarding safe practices for returning
to work, and where a conflict arises between such guidance(e.g.,between state law and CDC guidelines in the
U.S.), AECOM will generally follow the stricter of the available guidance. At this time, all employees, visitors,
independent contractors, and subcontractors, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, will continue to be
required to comply with safety precautions outlined in their local office Workplace Readiness Plans (e.g.,
wearing masks/face-coverings, practicing social distancing, etc.). AECOM will continue to monitor these
requirements on an ongoing basis.
What if an employee refuses to wear their mask/face-coverings in an office where the Workplace
Readiness Plan requires mask/face-covering use?
In the first instance the individual should be reminded of the requirements of their local office Workplace
Readiness plans, including where mask/face covering use has been prescribed as a mandatory control. If the
employee has a request for exemption(e.g., medical reasons),they should notify their supervisor and local HR
partner. Employees who do not have an approved exemption, and refuse to comply with the safety
precautions outlined in their local office Workplace Readiness Plans (or with the Workplace Readiness Plans
where they are visiting),will be sent home and subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of
employment.
Will there continue to be restrictions on work travel as vaccines become more available?
Yes. Currently, the Temporary Pandemic Travel Procedure remains in place for the Americas, Europe,
Middle East&Africa, and parts of Asia. Mainland China and Australia/New Zealand have already transitioned
0 AECOM Restricted AECOM
Cw■
