WORK PLAN FOR ADDITIONAL SITE INVESTIGATION Irerracon
Vacant Property Tracy, California
April 16, 2021 Terracon Project No. NA197074B
2.2.5 Sampling and Analytical Program
Terracon's proposed sampling and analytical program for this additional investigation is
summarized in the following table.
Table 1 -Sampling and Analytical Program
Bing Depth* No. Soil Groundwater Groundwater
Boring
Boring No. (Feet) Samples Soil Analytical Analytical
SB18 60 2 TPH-CC and VOCs Yes TPH-CC,
VOCs
S617,and 30 2 TPH-CC and VOCs No N/A
SB19-SB22
SB23-SB26 1 to 2 1 TPH-CC and VOCs No N/A
*Actual soil boring depths will be based on field observations and photoionization detector screening.
TPH-CC=Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons Carbon Chain as gasoline-range organics(TPH-GRO),diesel-range organics(TPH-DRO),
and oil-range organics(TPH-ORO)by EPA Method 8015.
VOCs=Volatile Organic Compounds by EPA Method 5035(closed system purge and trap)/8260B.
Investigation and sample collection procedures will be conducted in accordance with Terracon's
standard practices. The samples will be packaged for transport and submittal, under chain-of-
custody procedures, to a State-of-California certified laboratory for analysis on a standard (5 to
7 business days)turnaround time (TAT).
2.2.6 Investigative Derived Waste
Based on the method of investigation proposed for the site (direct push continuous coring), two
55-gallon drums of IDW is anticipated to be generated during this scope of work. However, if drilling
refusal is encountered with direct push drilling methodology, hollow-stem auger drilling may be
performed to complete the boring depths. If hollow-stem auger drilling is used additional soil
cuttings may be generated and this estimate does not account for the additional costs for disposal.
A change order will be provided if these conditions occur. The IDW, expected to be non-hazardous,
will be properly labeled and disposed of as part of this scope of work.
2.2.7 Reporting
Terracon will prepare the Additional Site Investigation Report that provides the results of the
investigation and include the CSM and the other required elements of the LTCP Checklist' in
support of gaining closure from the CRWQCB-CVR.
Responsive■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 7
