The following present
the results for the soil and groundwater samples collected during the investigation.
5.1 Soil Analytical Results
The soil sample analytical results are tabulated in Appendix B. Table 1 — Summary of
Soil Analytical Results, and the laboratory analytical reports and chain-of-custody
records are attached in Appendix D.
5.1.1 Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons
TPH-GRO and TPH-DRO were reported in soil samples collected from boring SB17 at 4
feet bgs at concentrations of 1,300 mg/Kg and 3,500 mg/Kg, respectively; however,
TPH-GRO and TPH-DRO were not reported above the laboratory detection limit of 10
mg/Kg in the samples collected from 11 feet and 30 feet bgs. TPH-GRO and TPH-DRO
were not detected above the laboratory reporting limit of 10 mg/Kg in the other 16 soil
samples analyzed during the investigation. TPH-ORO was reported in soil samples
collected from SB17 at 4 feet bgs at concentrations of 3,200 mg/Kg. Furthermore, TPH-
ORO was reported above the laboratory detection limit of 10 mg/Kg in the samples
collected from 11 feet and 30 feet bgs at 39 mg/Kg and 38 mg/Kg, respectively.
Additionally, TPH-ORO was reported slightly above detection limits ranging from 38
mg/Kg to 54 mg/Kg in samples collected from SB18 through SB22. TPH-ORO was not
reported in shallow samples collected from SB22 through SB26.
5.1.2 Volatile Organic Compounds
Concentrations of limited VOCs were detected above reporting limits in the soil samples
analyzed from SB17 at depths of 4 feet bgs, 11 feet bgs, and 30 feet bgs. VOCs were
not detected above reporting limits in the remaining 14 samples analyzed.
5.2 Groundwater Analytical Results
The groundwater sample results are tabulated in Appendix B.
