calam HSP-on Hearing Conservation <br /> Rev. 0 5/24/2022 <br /> HSP-12 <br /> HEARING CONSERVATION <br /> HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURE <br /> PURPOSE <br /> Prolonged exposure to noise levels exceeding 85 decibels (dBA)can result in hearing damage. This health <br /> and safety procedure (HSP) establishes the methods and responsibilities associated with hearing <br /> conservation. This procedure is applicable to employees and subcontractors. <br /> 2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> Role Responsibility <br /> Project Manager The PM is responsible for the implementation of this procedure. <br /> (PM) The PM, in consultation with the Health and Safety Program Manager (HSPM), is <br /> responsible for identifying all training requirements pertinent to project activities. <br /> The PM is responsible for ensuring all personnel working on a project have received <br /> the required training. The PM shall ensure that provisions of applicable documents <br /> and regulations are followed. <br /> Health and Safety The HSPM is responsible for the issuance, revision, maintenance, and compliance <br /> Program Manager of this procedure. <br /> (HSPM) <br /> Site Health and The SHSO is responsible for ensuring and verifying that this procedure is <br /> Safety Officer implemented in the field. <br /> (SHSO) <br /> Employees All employees are responsible for following this procedure as it applies to their work. <br /> 3.0 DEFINITIONS <br /> Employee Any person employed by CDIM. <br /> 4.0 PROCEDURE <br /> Most activities that utilize or are performed in the vicinity of heavy machinery have the potential to produce <br /> excessive noise.
