North County Recycling Center and Sanitary Landfill
Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan

Page 2
The principal objectives of this plan are to:

• Identify and evaluate sources of pollutants that may affect the quality of storm water
discharges and authorized non-storm water discharges from the facility.
• Identify and describe the minimum best management practices (BMPs) and any
advanced BMPs implemented to reduce or prevent pollutants in industrial storm
water discharges and authorized NSWDs. BMPs shall be selected to achieve
compliance with the General Permit; and,
• Identify and describe conditions or circumstances which may require future
revisions to be made to the SWPPP.
This plan is reviewed on an annual basis during the General Permit-required annual evaluation.
Any revisions to the plan are recorded on the page titled “SWPPP Revisions” located in this
document immediately after the table of contents. This plan is to be certified and submitted via
SMARTS within 30 days when significant revisions have been made to the SWPPP. Unless
there have been significant revisions made to the plan, San Joaquin County is not required to
certify and submit via SMARTS their revised SWPPP more than once every three months in
the reporting year. The annual review is recorded and signed by the reviewer on the page titled
“SWPPP Annual Review” located in this document immediately after the above-mentioned
annual review page. A copy of the SWPPP shall be maintained at the facility.
