The <br /> report will include daily weather, time and description of field activities, samples collected, and any <br /> problems or changes in scope that occurred that day. The report also lists field staff, subcontractors, <br /> and site visitors. <br /> Photographs <br /> HDR will photo document soil cores during field activities and other site features when appropriate. A <br /> The photographic log will be completed and will include the date and time of the photograph, the site <br /> name, core interval or direction the photograph was taken (e.g., looking east). The photographs and <br /> documentation will be loaded on the HDR network project file. <br /> 5.2.3 Sample Labels/Tags <br /> Sample labels will be filled out for each sample with an indelible pen. The label will be protected from <br /> water and solvents with clear label protection tape. Any change in the pre-prepared label information <br /> will be initialed by the sampler. <br /> 5.2.4 Sample Custody <br /> Sample custody is a part of a quality field or laboratory operation. Custody of a sample is defined as: <br /> 1. Having physical possession, or <br /> 2. Being in view, after being in possession, or. <br /> 3. Having possession, then being placed in a secure area, or. <br /> 4. Being maintained in a secure area by the person who had possession last. <br /> These custody practices will be observed in the field. They will be performed according to the <br /> procedures described in the following subsections. <br /> 5.2.4.1 COC Records <br /> A COC will be fully completed by hand. This COC will accompany the sample cooler to the <br /> laboratory, and a photocopy will be scanned and retained in the files at the field office. <br /> The COC record will contain the following information: <br /> • Name of person collecting the samples <br /> 5-3 <br />
