Cleanup in Vulnerable Communities'Initiative Discovery Project Reference:Favorite Cleaners <br /> and Enforcement Discovery Investigation Work Plan Project Number:60688620 <br /> 2.8 Observations from Site Reconnaissance <br /> As part of the Phase I ESA, Ms. Wanda L. Farmer with AECOM's Oakland and Sacramento, California offices <br /> conducted the site reconnaissance on August 10, 2022, with the intent of contacting the subject property <br /> owner/manager.AECOM staff was not able to take pictures inside of the building.AECOM staff took photos of the <br /> Subject Property and surrounding area from the public right of way.AECOM staff visited the Subject Property on <br /> August 10, 2022.This site visit included a pedestrian survey of the parcels.AECOM staff was only able to access the <br /> northern portion of the Subject Property. <br /> AECOM did observe two gasoline stations and no dry cleaners in the immediate vicinity(i.e., 500 feet)of the Subject <br /> Property.The Express Fuel Mart is located approximately 260 feet to the east/northeast and the U.S Gasoline station <br /> is located approximately 450 feet to the east/northeast of the Subject Property. Several sensitive receptors, six <br /> residences are located approximately 80 to 100 feet to the southeast, south, and southwest of the Subject Property. <br /> No other sensitive receptors(i.e., day care centers, schools, hospitals, surface water bodies)are located adjacent to <br /> the Subject Property. Based on AECOM's site reconnaissance of the surrounding neighborhood, no off-site sources <br /> of concern were identified, except for the two gas stations. <br /> AECOM staff did not observe any obvious signs of contamination such as soil moisture or discoloration, noxious <br /> odors, leaking waste containers, or similar during this site visit. <br /> The general layout of the Subject Property is illustrated on Figure 2. <br /> Prepared for: California Department of Toxic Substances Control AECOM <br /> 10 <br />
