Geosyntec <br /> consultants <br /> Currently RRI consists of unused open fields and buildings leased by the Port to tenants <br /> for industrial, commercial, and storage use. <br /> 1.2 Resulatory Framework <br /> On 30 July 2003,the Port entered into a Consent Agreement with the State of California, <br /> DTSC, and the RWQCB for RRI. DTSC is the lead regulatory agency and the RWQCB <br /> is the supporting agency for environmental work at RRI,except with respect to petroleum <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs) and petroleum contaminated sites, for which the <br /> RWQCB is the lead regulatory agency and DTSC is the supporting agency. <br /> RRI consists of approximately 1,459 acres, of which approximately 500 acres make up <br /> 36 parcels that contain a total of 50 sites covered by the Consent Agreement (Figure 2). <br /> The Consent Agreement states:"Groundwater plume investigations need to be completed <br /> and remediation may be required at MS-3/4, 7, 16 and Site 39, Site 49 (Includes <br /> groundwater plume at Site 2, 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D, 43 and 49),former UST/Sump at Bldg <br /> 816D, Site 3, Site 4, Site 5D, USTIOWS B16."
