GeoSyntec Consultants <br /> 4.2 Buddy System <br /> APPLIES TO TASK ® O ® pO ❑ ® Q ® Q p p © ❑ © Q <br /> The Buddy System is required in the task(s) indicated above. The buddy system <br /> includes maintaining regular contact (see Section 4.6) with onsite GeoSyntec personnel, <br /> clients and/or contractors. <br /> In situations where task work does not require the buddy system, onsite personnel <br /> must have appropriate communication device(s) on his/her person(s) at all times, and <br /> shall maintain contact with office personnel, at a minimum, upon arriving at and <br /> departing from the site on a daily basis. <br /> 4.3. Work Zones <br /> Three work zones must be established for each task. The Exclusion Zone is defined <br /> as the area on-site where contamination is suspected and tasks are to be performed. The <br /> Contamination Reduction Zone (CRZ) is defined as the area where equipment and <br /> workers are to be decontaminated. The Support Zone is defined as the command area <br /> and serves as a storage area for supplies. The exact location and extent of the work <br /> zones will be modified as necessary as site investigation information becomes available. <br /> The boundaries of the Exclusion Zone, CRZ, and Support Zone must be marked using <br /> the following methods: <br /> ❑ Warning tape ® Traffic cones <br /> ❑ Signs ❑ Fence <br /> ❑ Other <br /> 4.4.
