MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> No measurement will be made. Full compensation for conforming to these requirements, <br /> including all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals and for doing all the work <br /> involved in this section necessary for completion of the work, as shown on the Contract Plans, <br /> as specified in the Standard Specifications, these special provisions and as directed by the <br /> Engineer, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract items of <br /> work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> SECTION 01050 — CONSTRUCTION STAKING <br /> A. General <br /> This section specifies construction staking. All construction staking shall be done in accordance <br /> with Section 2.14 of the City of Tracy Standard Specifications, as shown on the plans, described <br /> in these Special Provisions, and directed by the Engineer. <br /> B. Layout <br /> The Contractor shall use horizontal and vertical controls to lay out the work whether or not shown <br /> on the Drawings from existing City benchmarks. The Contractor shall retain the services of a <br /> California licensed surveyor to perform all survey control, staking, layout, and verification work. <br /> Survey stakes and marks will be set by a California Licensed Surveyor or a California Registered <br /> Civil Engineer to establish the lines and grades required for the completion of the work specified in <br /> these specifications and on the plans. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing such <br /> stakes and marks a reasonable length of time in advance of starting operations that require such <br /> stakes and marks. <br /> Stakes and marks set by the Contractor's Surveyor or Engineer shall be carefully preserved by <br /> the Contractor. In case such stakes and marks are destroyed or damaged they will be replaced <br /> as soon as possible by the Surveyor. The Contractor will be responsible for the cost to replace <br /> and restore the stakes and marks. <br /> C. Accuracy <br /> The Contractor shall be fully responsible for the accuracy of the construction staking. The <br /> construction stakes and marks shall be furnished and set with accuracy to assure that the <br /> completed work conforms to the lines, grades, and section shown on the plans. It shall be the <br /> Contractor's responsibility to notify the Engineer of any discrepancies found between field <br /> conditions and grades and notes shown on the plans. <br /> D. Records <br /> All computations necessary to establish the exact position of the work from control points shall be <br /> performed by the Contractor. All computation, survey notes, and other records necessary to <br /> accomplish the work shall be neat, legible and accurate.
