The cost of bypassing the pump station, regardless <br /> of duration, shall be included in the bid price for the Work. <br /> Bypassing MacArthur Avenue Wastewater Pump Station shall include placing a suction <br /> connection in the manhole upstream of the pump station. This manhole is in the centerline of <br /> MacArthur Avenue. Contractor shall prepare a traffic control plan around the bypass that _ <br /> accommodates two way traffic on MacArthur Avenue. The traffic control plan is subject to review <br /> and approval of the Engineer. Contractor shall provide traffic control measures throughout the <br /> bypass operation as well as on an as-needed basis during the Work. The cost of traffic control _ <br /> plan preparation, traffic control plan implementation around the bypassing of the pump station, <br /> and for other traffic control measures regardless of duration, shall be included in the bid price for <br /> the Work. - <br /> MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> No measurement will be made. Full compensation for conforming to these requirements, - <br /> including all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals and for doing all the work <br /> involved in schedule control and pipe connections necessary for completion of the work, as <br /> shown on the Contract Plans, as specified in the Standard Specifications, these special <br /> provisions and as directed by the Engineer, shall be considered as included in the prices paid <br /> for the various contract items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> SECTION 01070 - EXCAVATION SHEETING AND SHORING <br /> A. General <br /> This section specifies work involved in trench and structure excavation, providing adequate <br /> sheeting, shoring, and bracing all conforming to applicable safety regulations, for the installation <br /> or modification of structures, the installation of new sewer pipes and new water pipes, and <br /> related items of work as required on the plans, described in these Special Provisions, and <br /> directed by the Engineer. Trench excavation shall conform to the provisions of City Standard <br /> Plan No. 501, and Section 306 of the City Standard Specifications. The Contractor's attention is - <br /> directed to Section 26 "Disposal of Material" of the Special Requirements of these <br /> Specifications. <br /> B. Requirements <br /> For any excavations more than five feet (5') deep, the Contractor shall submit to the Engineer _ <br /> for approval, the structural calculations to verify the structural safety and adequacy of the <br /> sheeting, shoring and bracing to be used on the project. No such plan shall allow shoring, <br /> sloping or a protection system less effective than that required by the Construction Safety <br /> Orders of the State Division of Occupational Safety and Health. The structural calculations <br /> must be prepared, stamped and signed by a Registered Engineer licensed to practice in the <br /> State of California. Sheeting, shoring, and/or bracing of open cut excavations shall be provided, <br /> inclusive of all construction conforming to applicable safety orders, including any necessary - <br /> subsurface investigations, preparing and submitting shoring designs, labor, tools, materials, <br /> equipment, power, and fuel for doing all required work including but not limited to that as <br /> required by Sections 6700-6708 of the Labor Code. - <br /> C.
