At least 30 days prior to commencing work requiring excavation sheeting and shoring on this <br /> project, the Contractor shall submit to the City in accordance with Section 01300 a plan and <br /> schedule of construction which will allow the least inconvenience to the public and/or residents. <br /> MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> No measurement will be made. Full compensation for conforming to these requirements, <br /> including all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals and for doing all the work <br /> involved in this section necessary for completion of the work, as shown on the Contract Plans, <br /> as specified in the Standard Specifications, these special provisions and as directed by the <br /> Engineer, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract items of <br /> work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> SECTION 01300 — SUBMITTALS <br /> A. General <br /> Submittals covered by these requirements include manufacturers' information, shop drawings, <br /> test procedures, test results, samples, requests for substitutions, and miscellaneous work- <br /> related submittals. The Contractor shall furnish all drawings, specifications, descriptive data, <br /> certificates, samples, testas, methods, schedules, and manufacturer's installation and other <br /> instructions as specifically required in the Contract Documents to demonstrate fully that the <br /> materials and equipment to be furnished and the methods of work comply with the provisions <br /> and intent of the Contract Documents. <br /> When the specified item is followed by an "or equal", the Contractor may submit proposed <br /> equivalent items from the Engineer's review. Where the term "or equal" is omitted, it means that <br /> the named item is required to meet the City's needs, and no products or makers other than <br /> those specified will be considered. <br /> Seven copies of all submittals shall be furnished. <br /> B. Contractor's Responsibilities <br /> The Contractor shall be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information <br /> contained in each submittal and shall assure that the material, equipment or method of work <br /> shall be as described in the submittal. The Contractor shall verify that all features of all products <br /> conform to the specified requirements. Submittal documents shall be clearly edited to indicate <br /> only those items, models, or series of equipment, which are being submitted for review. All <br /> extraneous materials shall be crossed out or otherwise obliterated. The Contractor shall ensure <br /> that there is no conflict with other submittals and notify the Engineer in each case where his <br /> submittal may affect the work of another contractor or the City. The Contractor shall coordinate <br /> submittals among his subcontractors and suppliers including those submittals complying with <br /> unit responsibility requirements specified in applicable technical sections. <br /> The Contractor shall coordinate submittals with the work so that work will not be delayed. He <br /> shall coordinate and schedule different categories of submittals, so that one will not be delayed <br /> for lack of coordination with another. No extension of time will be allowed because of failure to <br /> properly schedule submittals.
