C. Provide for continuous system operation, including nights, weekends, and <br /> holidays. Provide standby pumping equipment. <br /> D. Monitor operations to verify that the system lowers groundwater levels at a rate <br /> required to maintain a dry excavation resulting in a stable subgrade for <br /> prosecution of subsequent operations. — <br /> E. Treat groundwater in appropriate tanks onsite to remove any settleable solids <br /> and allow periodic testing by the Contractor as required by applicable <br /> regulations. Hold groundwater until testing by the Contractor indicates that it is <br /> not contaminated, and is suitable for discharge to the storm drainage system. <br /> F. Do not allow groundwater or drainage water levels to rise until backfilling <br /> operations have been completed. <br /> G. Remove all groundwater control systems upon completion of construction or — <br /> when dewatering and control of surface or groundwater is no longer required. <br /> H. Replace any excavation performed for convenience of dewatering in foundation _ <br /> beds with materials as impermeable as original foundation material.
