compacting the mixture, repair or replacement of traffic loops, pavement markings and striping, <br /> testing, work area restoration, and as necessary for completion of the work, complete in place. <br /> The lump sum price paid shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, <br /> equipment and incidentals and for doing all the work, complete and in place, all as shown on the <br /> drawings, specified in the Standard Specifications, these special provisions, and as directed by <br /> the Engineer, and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> PART 2 — PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 ENGINEERING FILL <br /> Engineered fill shall be as specified in Section 02200 Earthwork of these Specifications. <br /> 2.02 CLASS 2 AGGREGATE BASE <br /> Class 2 aggregate base shall meet all requirements of State Standard Specification <br /> Section 26-1.02 A for 34-inch maximum grading. <br /> 2.03 PAINT BINDER (TACK COAT) <br /> The paint binder (tack: coat) shall meet all the requirements of State Standard Specification <br /> Section 94. <br /> 2.04 ASPHALT CONCRETE <br /> Asphalt concrete shall meet the requirements of State Standard Specification Section 39-2 for <br /> Type B Asphalt Concrete (1/2-inch maximum aggregate, medium grading). <br /> The asphalt to be mixed with the aggregate shall meet the section of State Standard <br /> Specification Section 92-1.02 for AR 4000 steam-refined paving asphalt. <br /> PART 3 — EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 FINAL GRADING <br /> The final grade of the asphalt concrete shall vary not more than 0.05 foot from the elevations <br /> indicated on the Drawings, and shall conform to the requirements of State Standard <br /> Specification Section 39-6. All areas shall be graded to drain. <br /> 3.02 SCARIFYING AND COMPACTING <br /> All the subgrade material underlying asphalt concrete surfacing shall be cleared and stripped <br /> per Section 02160 Site Preparation, and then scarified to a depth of at least twelve (12) inches, <br /> moisture conditioned as required, and compacted to a relative compaction of not less than <br /> 95 percent ASTM D1557 maximum dry density. <br /> July 2007 Division III-70 NEI Phase II Water and Sewer <br /> CIP Nos. 7468, 7589, 7590 <br />
