A. PVC pipe and fittings shall have covered storage. PVC pipe and fittings shall not <br /> be stored in direct sunlight. <br /> A. Pipes shall be stored on level ground, preferably turf, sand, or pallets, free from <br /> sharp objects which could damage the pipe. <br /> B. Stacking of the pipe shall be limited to a height that will not cause excessive <br /> deformation of the bottom layers of the pipes under anticipated temperature <br /> conditions as approved by the manufacturer. <br /> C. Where necessary due to ground conditions, the pipe shall be stored on wooden <br /> sleepers, spaced suitably, and of such width as to not allow deformation of the <br /> pipe at the point of contact with the sleeper or between supports. <br /> 1.05 WARRANTY <br /> A. All materials supplied under this section shall be warranted for a period of 1 year <br /> by the manufacturer and the Contractor. Warranty period shall commence upon <br /> written notice of completion by the Engineer. <br /> B. The materials shall be warranted to be free from defects in workmanship, design <br /> and materials. If the materials should fail during the warranty period, it shall be <br /> replaced or restored to service at no expense to the Owner. <br /> 1.06 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> No measurement will be made. Full compensation for conforming to these requirements, <br /> including all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals and for doing all the work <br /> involved in this section necessary for completion of the work, as shown on the Contract Plans, <br /> as specified in the Standard Specifications, these special provisions and as directed by the <br /> Engineer, shall be considered as included in the prices paid for the various contract items of <br /> work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> 2.01 PVC Pipe <br /> A. Pipe: <br /> 1. Material for pipes: <br /> 12-inch diameter: ASTM D3034 <br /> 18 and 21-inch diameter: ASTM F679 <br /> 2. Pipe and fittings requirements: 115 psi, DR26. <br /> 3. Inside diameter shall be as specified on Drawings. <br /> 4.
