A. Only new materials of equivalent grade may be used for repair or replacement. <br /> B. All repairs or replacements shall be approved by the Engineer. <br /> C. Other materials to be replaced which are not covered elsewhere in these <br /> Specifications shall be replaced in-kind or with an equal or better grade as <br /> approved by the Engineer prior to delivery to the site. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 GENERAL <br /> A. All unused materials, waste and equipment shall be promptly removed and the <br /> site clean and free of all hazards. <br /> B. At no time shall any site be left in a state that represents a hazard to the public or <br /> the property owner. Any excavation that needs to be left open until the following <br /> day shall be adequately safeguarded. <br /> C. If there is a delay in construction for any reason, be responsible for maintenance <br /> of erosion control measures, drainage, and temporary irrigation during <br /> construction delay period. <br /> 3.02 FENCES <br /> A. All existing fences affected by the work shall be maintained by the Contractor <br /> until completion of the work. Fences which interfere with construction operations <br /> shall be relocated or dismantled for the period of the construction at that <br /> particular property and then shall be replaced after demobilization of equipment. <br /> 3.03 RESETTING OF FENCE <br /> A. Resetting: <br /> 1. Reset line posts and gate posts at original locations. <br /> 2. The base top shall be at least 1-inch above grade and sloped for drainage. <br /> 3. Set posts vertically. <br /> 4. Accurately align. <br /> 5. Make tops level or at a constant slope between changes in grade. <br /> 6. Fit tubular posts with rain-proof malleable iron caps. <br /> 3.04 TREES AND PLANTS <br /> A.
