Furnish permanent gasket of uniform thickness or mastic <br /> suitable for contact with potable water between sluice gate frame and thimble. Furnish <br /> holes in invert to allow concrete placement under thimble. _ <br /> 2.03 OPERATORS <br /> A. All manual operators shall be geared crank type, unless otherwise specified. <br /> B. Operators shall meet AWWA C501 specifications, except as otherwise specified. <br /> Crank handles shall be removable from the operator. Clear plastic stem covers — <br /> shall be provided as specified in AWWA C501, Section 3.14.5. <br /> C. The operator shall be pedestal mounted. Pedestal shall be cast iron. The head of _ <br /> the pedestal operator shall have a solid bronze, internally threaded operating nut. <br /> The operator shall be mounted on anti-friction roller bearings. Gear ratios <br /> provided shall result in a maximum effort of 40 lbs pull of the crank and shall _ <br /> operate the gate under the specified operating conditions. Gears and bearings <br /> shall be enclosed in a weatherproof housing, and pressure type fittings shall be <br /> provided for grease lubrication of the bearings and gears. _ <br /> 2.04 PRODUCT DATA <br /> The following product data shall be provided in accordance with Section 01300: <br /> A. Applicable operating and maintenance information. <br /> B. Affidavits of compliance in accordance with AWWA C501. <br /> C.
