PART 3 — EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 INSTALLATION <br /> A. Each gate shall be aligned, connected, and installed at the locations specified <br /> and in accordance with the manufacturer's written recommendations. <br /> B. The equipment shall be installed and tested under the direction of factory-trained <br /> personnel. <br /> C. Fill "boxout" below the gate invert with nonshrink grout. <br /> 3.02 TESTING <br /> A. Shop seat clearance and operating tests shall be performed as per Section 4.2 of <br /> the AWWA Specification C501. <br /> B. After completion of installation, each gate shall be field tested to demonstrate <br /> compliance with performance requirements as specified. Inspection, testing, and <br /> certification shall be provided. <br /> C. Field Leakage Tests: <br /> 1. Field leakage tests shall be performed a specified in Section 6.8 of <br /> AW1NA C501. <br /> a. 'The maximum allowable leakage rate shall be 0.10 gallons per minute per <br /> foot of seating perimeter for the seating head specified and 0.20 gallons <br /> per rninute per foot of seating perimeter for the unseating head specified. <br /> b. Field leakage tests shall be conducted with no head on one side of the <br /> gate being tested. <br /> 3.03 TRAINING <br /> A. During the commissioning period a factory-trained representative shall train plant <br /> personnel in operating and maintenance procedures for the equipment provided <br /> under this section for not less than four (4) hours. <br /> B.
