PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 INSTALLATION <br /> Equipment and accessories shall be installed in accordance with approved written procedures <br /> submitted with the shop drawings, and as indicated on the Drawings. <br /> 3.02 INSPECTION AND TESTING <br /> After installation but prior to acceptance of the pumping equipment, each unit shall be given a <br /> running test during which it shall demonstrate its ability to operate within vibration limits set forth <br /> in the Hydraulics Institute Standards, and without overheating and to meet the performance data <br /> listed herein. Tests shall include electrical, head and discharge measurements sufficient to <br /> duplicate the head discharge and efficiency curves submitted with the shop drawings. <br /> The Contractor shall furnish all labor, piping, equipment, pressure gauges and materials <br /> necessary for conducting the tests, including necessary clean water. <br /> 3.03 TRAINING AND INSTRUCTION <br /> A factory representative, who has complete knowledge of proper operation and maintenance of <br /> the equipment furnished shall be provided for four (4) hours to instruct representatives of the <br /> City on the proper operation and maintenance of the equipment. The instruction may be done at <br /> the same time as the inspection of the installation and test run, provided the test is successful, <br /> and the operating and maintenance instructions furnished have been approved by the Engineer. <br /> SECTION 11345 — SUBMERSIBLE SUMP PUMPS <br /> PART 1 — GENERAL <br /> 1.01 DESCRIPTION <br /> A. Scope <br /> This section specifies single simplex submersible sump pumps complete with motor, float <br /> controls, cable, and lifting handle. The pump shall be provided as specified and located in each <br /> vault sump and containment sump as shown on the Drawings. <br /> B. Type <br /> Pump shall be of the submersible, centrifugal nonclog type for use in pumping floor drainage. <br /> Sump Pumps located in the chlorine feed vault shall be corrosion-resistant design. <br /> C.
