PART 2 — PRODUCTS <br /> 2.011 ACCEPTABLE PRODUCTS <br /> Pumps shall be as manufactured by Myers, Hydromatic, or equal, modified to provide the <br /> specified features and to the meet specified operating conditions. <br /> 2.02 MATERIALS <br /> Component Material <br /> Pump and motor Cast iron, A48 <br /> Casing discharge Cast iron, A48 <br /> Impeller Bronze or Thermoplastic <br /> All exposed nuts and bolts Stainless steel, ASTM A276, Type 304 <br /> Shaft Stainless steel, ASTM A276, Type 303 <br /> Corrosion-resistant pump shall be constructed with corrosion resistant bodies, 316 stainless <br /> seal shaft and hardware, and Viton seals. <br /> 2.03 EQUIPMENT <br /> A. Impeller <br /> Impeller shall be statically and dynamically balanced and designed to be nonclog and to pass <br /> stringy material. <br /> B. Bearings <br /> Bearings shall be heavy-duty permanently lubricated ball type. <br /> C. Pump And Motor Casing <br /> Casing shall be constructed of corrosion resistant cast iron and shall be designed to allow <br /> removal of all rotating parts from the motor end of the pump. All mating surfaces where <br /> watertight sealing is required shall be machined and fitted with nitrile O-rings. Pump volute shall <br /> have vertical discharge. Corrosion-resistant pump shall be constructed with corrosion resistant <br /> bodies of Noryl GTX830, or comparable material. <br /> D. Mechanical Seal <br /> Pump shall be provided with carbon and ceramic faced mechanical seals. Corrosion-resistant <br /> pump shall be constructed with Viton seals. <br /> E. Motor <br /> The motor shall be designed to be nonoverloading over the entire pump curve. The motor <br /> housing shall be of !submersible construction with the windings operating in a sealed <br /> July 2007 Division III-130 NEI Phase II Water and Sewer <br /> CIP Nos. 7468, 7589, 7590 <br />
