3) Testing shall be accomplished using simulated inputs only with <br /> prior written approval of the Owner. <br /> 4) Calibration stickers shall be supplied for all equipment and <br /> instruments. Calibration stickers shall list the following information: <br /> a) Tag number <br /> b) Calibrated by whom (name), firm, Owner and telephone <br /> number <br /> c) Date calibrated <br /> d) Calibration range <br /> e) Comments <br /> f. Control System Tests <br /> All the 1/0 points for the LLC shall be tested by the system <br /> supplier in the field for proper operation of alarms, status, analog, <br /> control, and Human Machine Interface (HMI/OI)display functions. <br /> Where practical, the final element shall be used, i.e. trip the <br /> intrusion switch or change levels. Testing shall be accomplished <br /> using simulated inputs only when necessary. <br /> 2) During this task the System supplier shall have: <br /> a) Qualified field technician with experience in the startup of <br /> similar systems with LLC controls, and other field devices. <br /> b) Test instruments as required. <br /> c) A pair of radios for communication. <br /> d) Laptop with programming software for LLC. <br /> 3) Contractor to fill in 1/0 Point Checkout Sheet" TF13 located in <br /> Appendix "A". <br /> g. Trial Operations <br /> 1) The entire electrical installation shall be either tested or trial <br /> operated to verify Contract compliance. That is, controls, heaters, <br /> fans, light switches, convenience receptacles, lights, etc. shall be <br /> trial operated. Contractor shall conduct trial operations in the <br /> presence of the Engineer and Operations and Maintenance <br /> personnel. <br /> h. Operational Testing <br /> 1) After all the previous tests in this subsection are complete, the <br /> Contractor shall conduct operational testing. <br /> 2) The Contractor shall demonstrate operation of each part of the <br /> control and instrumentation system to the satisfaction of the <br /> Owner and/or Engineer. Tests shall be repeated by the Contractor <br /> at no additional cost to the Owner and at the discretion of the <br /> Owner and/or Engineer to resolve whether the system has been <br /> July 2007 Division III-228 NEI Phase II Water and Sewer <br /> CIP Nos. 7468, 7589, 7590 <br />
