• Submittals schedule and listing of material suppliers. <br /> • Utility company coordination and/or permit issues. <br /> • Videotape and photography of the Projects existing condition. ' <br /> SECTION 16 — CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE <br /> The Contractor shall prepare and submit at the pre-construction meeting, to be reviewed and <br /> approved of by the Engineer, a staging or phasing plan identifying the sequence of construction <br /> work and traffic control needed to complete the project. If possible, the staging plan shall <br /> identify various alternate methods to complete the project. The Engineer's approval of the <br /> staging plan will be required prior to the start of construction. <br /> The Staging alternatives proposed by the contractor shall be in accordance with the logistic <br /> plans of this project. Any suggested logistic plans shall be such that they minimize impact to <br /> the businesses in the project site and the surrounding areas. Also refer to Division Il, Progress <br /> Schedule and Order of Work, as listed in these specifications. <br /> SECTION 17 - PROGRESS SCHEDULE AND ORDER OF WORK <br /> The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer a practicable progress schedule showing the <br /> critical path for completing the various items of work within the number of contract days <br /> specified, within ten (10) calendar days of the "Notice to Proceed", and within five (5) calendar <br /> days of the Engineer's written request at any other time. The schedule shall show the order in <br /> which the Contractor proposes to carry out the work, the dates on which he will start the several <br /> salient features of the work (including procurement of materials and equipment), and the <br /> contemplated dates for completing the said salient features. If requested, the schedule shall <br /> reflect person/crew hours and equipment loading for various construction activities in order for <br /> City to better evaluate the proposed schedule. <br /> Attention is directed to Division I, Paragraph 0), "Project Schedule and Order of Work", of these <br /> Specifications and Section 6, "Progress and Acceptance of Work", of the Standard — <br /> Specifications of the City of Tracy. The Contractor is advised that the Engineer may further <br /> direct by areas on the site, the order of installation of each major item of work so that <br /> succeeding major items of work may have timely and simultaneous access and that failure to <br /> comply with directions of the Engineer concerning the order of work may be cause for damages <br /> should work under the same be delayed. <br /> SECTION 18 - PROGRESS MEETINGS <br /> The Contractor, and subcontractor(s) if requested by the City, shall attend weekly progress <br /> meetings scheduled by the Engineer. <br /> SECTION 19 - PAY ITEMS <br /> The quantities listed in the Bid Schedule do not govern final payment, as payments to the <br /> contractor will only be made for the actual quantities constructed in accordance with the plans <br /> and specifications as measured by the appropriate unit of measurement indicated in the Bid <br /> Schedule, complete in place to the satisfaction of the Engineer. Such payment shall constitute <br /> Division II -7 NEI Phase II Water and Sewer <br /> July 2007 CIP Nos. 7468,7589, 7590 <br />
