Electronic message boards shall provide dates for impending construction and lane <br /> closures. <br /> E. Temporary Signs -- <br /> Provide, erect and maintain Construction Area Signs. Remove signs when no longer required. <br /> All temporary signs shall comply with the Traffic Control Manual and Section 12 of the Caltrans _ <br /> Standard Specifications. <br /> Erect information signs advising pending work and lane closures two weeks in advance of <br /> actual work. Place information signs so that they are readable to both directions of travel. <br /> Erect signs advising of rough road conditions when temporary pavement has been placed. <br /> Use electronic signs with sequential arrow or changeable message to advise traffic of <br /> approaching conditions. <br /> F. Temporary Barriers and Channelizing Devises <br /> Barriers and channelizing devises shall comply with the Traffic Control Manual. <br /> Install temporary barricades to protect vehicles for areas with drop-offs or to isolate traffic from <br /> dewatering or bypass pumps and pipelines. <br /> Temporary barricades shall be provided and installed in compliance with Section 12 of the State <br /> Standard Specifications. <br /> Temporary k-rail end sections not protected by crash cushions must be flared so that the blunt <br /> end of the k-rail is at least 15 feet away from approaching traffic.
