The contractor shall remove and replace any sanitary sewer pipe failing the test, re-backfill and <br /> compact the trench at his own cost. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, material, <br /> tools, and equipment to perform the required inspection. <br /> MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> 12" Sanitary Sewer (Bid Item 12) and 18" Sanitary Sewer (Bid Item 13) shall be paid for on a <br /> linear foot basis. Measurement will be based on the actual number of linear feet of sewer main <br /> installed as determined by measurement along the sewer invert from center of manhole to <br /> center of manhole. <br /> The contract unit price paid shall include full compensation for all labor, material, equipment, <br /> including trenching, pavement removal, backfill, connection to the existing sewer lines and <br /> manholes, temporary paving, sewer main bypassing, and incidentals for doing all work involved, <br /> for the complete installation of the sanitary sewer pipe, all as shown on the drawings, specified <br /> in the Standard Specifications, these Special Provisions, and as directed by the Engineer and <br /> no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> Sanitary Sewer Manholes In Paved Areas (Bid Item 14) and Sanitary Sewer Manholes In <br /> Unpaved Areas (Bid Item 15) shall be paid for on a unit basis as one complete installed unit <br /> including manhole base, cast iron ring, frame and cover. Measurement will be based on the <br /> actual number of manholes installed as determined by actual count. The contract unit price per <br /> Sanitary Sewer Manholes shall include full compensation for labor, materials, tools and <br /> equipment and for doing all work for the removal and complete installation of the sanitary sewer <br /> manhole, including excavation, backfill, paving, PVC liner and sealed joints, stubs, installation of <br /> concrete slabs and permanent bollards, testing, complete in place, all as shown on the <br /> drawings, specified in the Standard Specifications, these special provisions, and as directed by <br /> the Engineer, and no additional compensation will be allowed. <br /> SECTION 6 — MACARTHUR PUMP STATION PIPE REPLACEMENT (BID ITEM 16) <br /> The work of this bid item consists of pipe replacement within the existing MacArthur Wastewater <br /> Pump Station Wet Well including new pipe and coatings and all other work required for a <br /> complete operating installation. <br /> Pipe and fittings shall be epoxy lined and coated ductile iron pipe conforming to the <br /> requirements of Section 15100 and related sections of the Special Provisions. <br /> MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> MacArthur Pump Station Pipe Replacement (Bid Item 16) shall be paid for on a lump sum <br /> basis. Measurement will be based on the percentage of work completed as determined by the <br /> Engineer, and the detailed schedule or breakdown of lump sum items as approved by the <br /> Engineer. <br /> The contract lump sum price paid for MacArthur Pump Station Pipe Replacement will include full <br /> compensation for conforming to these requirements for doing all the work involved in the <br /> removal the existing 10-inch diameter ductile iron pipe in the wet well; furnishing and installing <br /> new 10-inch diameter ductile iron piping including furnishing and installing pipe, supports, <br /> fasteners, linings, coatings, safe entry into confined space, and incidentals required for a <br /> complete and operable system.
