1. Trench cutting of pavement shall not begin more than two weeks prior to <br /> construction within that work site. <br /> 2. All lanes and the full width of the traveled way shall be open to all traffic when <br /> construction operations are not actively in progress. All traffic lanes shall be <br /> restored with temporary pavement at the end of the work day in a smooth and <br /> even condition to the satisfaction of the City and County. Provide temporary <br /> striping and markers as required. <br /> 3. Notify City and County Traffic Departments two working days prior to working <br /> within vicinity of signalized intersection and traffic loops. An electrician <br /> experienced in traffic control repairs shall be onsite at all times when work is <br /> being conducted within vicinity of signalized intersection and traffic loops. Any <br /> damage to the traffic signal operation shall be restored immediately to their <br /> original operating condition. <br /> 4. Existing City water facilities must remain in service at all times except as <br /> provided in Section 01060 Disruption of Existing Facilities. Shutdown of the City <br /> water distribution system for connection work shall be limited to 6-hour durations <br /> between Monday and Thursday during the off peak season between December <br /> and March. <br /> 5. The MacArthur Avenue Wastewater Pump Station must remain in service at all <br /> times except as provided in Section 01060 Disruption of Existing Facilities. <br /> 6. Existing City sewers must remain in service at all times. Wastewater flow during <br /> tie-in of new, manholes to existing sewers and new sewers to existing manholes <br /> shall not be disrupted. Contractor shall maintain sewer operation at all times <br /> including bypassing flows around work site as specified in section 02105. <br /> 7. Refer to the Section 01030 Traffic Control, for additional work constraints and to <br /> the contract Drawings for specific lane closure restrictions. <br /> 8. Groundwater discharge to surface drains during dewatering and depressurizing <br /> to maintain trench and structure excavations in a dry and stable condition for <br /> excavation work shall be limited to a total 4-month period. Refer to Section 02140 <br /> Control of Groundwater and Surface Water, for additional work constraints. <br /> 9. Disruption of the irrigation systems shall be limited to the non-irrigation season <br /> between November 1 and March 15 or as otherwise determined by the City and <br /> the irrigation district. Irrigation facilities shall remain in service at all other times. <br /> Contractor shall complete all work as required and return the irrigation systems to <br /> full service by March 15. <br /> 10. All irrigation ditches and canals located adjacent to construction work areas shall <br /> be maintained at all times during the irrigation season defined as March 16 to <br /> October 31. <br /> 11.
