<br /> The sixth paragraph of Section 15-2.07,"Payment,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read:
<br /> • Full compensation for removing, salvaging, reconstructing, relocating or resetting end caps, return caps, terminal
<br /> sections, and buried post anchors, for metal beam guard railings and thrie beam barriers, and for connecting reconstructed,
<br /> relocated or reset railings and barriers to new and existing facilities,including connections to concrete,shall be considered as
<br /> included in the contract price paid per meter for the type of railing or barrier work involved and no additional compensation
<br /> will be allowed therefor.
<br /> SECTION 19: EARTHWORK

<br /> The third paragraph of Section 19-1.02,"Preservation of Property,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read:
<br /> • In addition to the provisions in Sections 5-1.02, "Plans and Working Drawings," and 5-1.02A, "Excavation Safety
<br /> Plans," detailed plans of the protective systems for excavations on or affecting railroad property will be reviewed for
<br /> adequacy of protection provided for railroad facilities,property,and traffic. These plans shall be submitted at least 9 weeks
<br /> before the Contractor intends to begin excavation requiring the protective systems. Approval by the Engineer of the detailed
<br /> plans for the protective systems will be contingent upon the plans being satisfactory to the railroad company involved.
<br /> The first paragraph of Section 19-3.025C,"Soil Cement Bedding,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read:
<br /> • Cementitious material used in soil cement bedding shall conform to the provisions in Section 90-2.01,
<br /> "Cementitious Materials." Supplementary cementitious material will not be required.
<br /> The fourth paragraph of Section 19-3.025C,"Soil Cement Bedding,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read:
<br /> • The aggregate, cementitious material, and water shall be proportioned either by mass or by volume. Soil cement
<br /> bedding shall contain not less than 175 kg of cementitious material per cubic meter. The water content shall be sufficient to
<br /> produce a fluid,workable mix that will flow and can be pumped without segregation of the aggregate while being placed.
<br /> The first paragraph of Section 19-3.062,"Slurry Cement Backfill,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read:
<br /> • Slurry cement backfill shall consist of a fluid,workable mixture of aggregate,cementitious material,and water.
<br /> The fifth paragraph of Section 19-3.062,"Slurry Cement Backfill,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read:
<br /> • Cementitious material shall conform to the provisions in Section 90-2.01,"Cementitious Materials." Supplementary
<br /> cementitious material will not be required.
<br /> The eighth paragraph of Section 19-3.062,"Slurry Cement Backfill,"of the Standard Specifications is amended to read:
