Madeline Drive, Broughton Drive, Springfield Way, and Camden Court will be closed to <br />through public traffic; however, access for local residents will be maintained at all times. <br />12. The Contractor must place temporary ramps to affected residents' driveways at the end of <br />each working day if a drop off greated than 0.15' exists. Ramp materials must be <br />consistent with that of the roadbed (or roadway) surface that is to be placed upon. <br />Payment for this work will be considered as included in various items of work. <br />13. Removal and disposal of existing monument frames and covers will be required at locations <br />as stated (Replace) on the Summary of Quantities sheet for Place Monument Frame and <br />Cover and will be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for Place Monument <br />Frame and Cover. <br />14. Metal plates and half cross pipes installed in the existing curb and gutter will be removed <br />and salvaged, unless otherwise noted, to property owners and is to be paid for by the <br />various items of work. <br />15. Hand grinding of roadway will be required at location where existing highway and utility <br />facilities are within the Remove Subbase, Base, and Surfacing and Pavement Repair limits. <br />Payment for hand grinding will be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for <br />Remove Subbase, Base, and Surfacing. <br />16. The Contractor must place temporary ramps to affected residents' driveways at the end of <br />each working day if a drop off greater than 0.15' exists. Placement of HMA Overlay must not begin until the HMA used in Pavement Repair has been in <br />place for minimum of 18 hours. <br />3. Placement of HMA Driveways must not begin until the HMA used for Mainline Paving has been <br />completed. <br />4. Existing highway and utility facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. Any utility poles <br />within the limits of clearing and grubbing is to be protected and remain in place. <br />5. Existing trees, shrubs, fences, mailboxes and other frontage improvements must remain in place <br />unless otherwise noted. <br />6. Existing drainage facilities must remain in place unless otherwise noted. The Contractor must <br />conduct earthwork operations so as not to modify or obstruct the existing drainage. <br />7. The Contractor will be responsible for adequately scheduling inspection and testing of all facilities <br />constructed under this contract with a minimum 24 hour prior notice to the County. All testing <br />j <br />must conform to the Standard Specifications. All re—testing will be paid by the Contractor. <br />i <br />8. The Contractor must exercise due caution and carefully preserve survey bench marks, control points, <br />reference points and all survey stakes, and must bear all expenses for replacement and/or errors <br />caused by their unnecessary loss or disturbance. <br />�A <br />9. Prior to commencing any work, it will be the Contractor's responsibility to have each utility company <br />v <br />locate in the field their main service lines and laterals. The Contractor must notify members of <br />o <br />the Underground Service Alert (U.S.A.) 48 hours in advance of performing excavation work by calling <br />> <br />the toll free number (1-800-642-2444) or 811. <br />M <br />10. Core data is unavailable; however, anticipate varying layers of base and roadway surfacing materials <br />within the sectional planing depth of the existing roadway. <br />r- <br />11. Hickory Avenue may be temporarily closed to all traffic during construction activities. Schedule of <br />M <br />closure(s) must be approved by the Engineer and within the time range of 8:30 am to 1:30 pm. <br />P <br />Contractor must provide a two weeks advance notice to all affected residents, services, schools, etc. <br />of the scheduled closure.
