The grind marks are up to 0.38 inches deep
and expose large aggregate throughout. No defect is warranted at this time. See Photo 5.
There are visible sags along the bridge profile in Spans 1, 2, 4 and 5. The sag is visible along the edge of the deck but can not be
measured using a string line, due to the length of the bridge. Surveys were taken in 09/2000, 12/2000 and 09/2001 to see if the
deflections were increasing. No significant change was observed over the course of the surveys.
In Span 2, there are two spalls up to 6 inches in diameter x 1 inch deep in the deck in the northbound lane near Pier 2. See Photo 7.
In Span 2, there is a patch up to 2 feet wide x 4 inches long in the deck in the northbound lane. The patch was sound during this
investigation. (See Photo 4 dated 06/27/2018). This condition has been previously reported and no significant changes were noted.
In Span 5, there is a patch up to 2 feet long x full lane width in the deck in the southbound lane at Abutment 6. (See Photo 2 dated
06/09/2022). This condition has been previously reported and no significant changes were noted.
In Span 5, there are four spalls up to 2 feet long x 1 foot wide in the right edge of deck near Abutment 6. These appear to have been
from a barrier rail impact. In addition, there is edge spalling up to 1 inch deep throughout this area, generally within the first six rail
sections. Some of these spalls have partially filled patches that appear sound. (See Photo 6). This condition has been previously
reported and no significant changes were noted.
(58) (6)DECK RATING =
