(See Photo 5 dated
06/27/2018). This condition appears to be the result of the AC grinding operation performed prior to the methacrylate treatment. This
condition has been previously reported and no significant changes were noted.
Methacrylate was placed prior to the 2018 routine inspection.
Treated deck cracks are transverse up to 0.01 inches wide and spaced as close as 4 feet on center throughout with heavier
concentrations over the bents. However, the previous AC overlay and the current methacrylate, sand and grinding marks prevent
accurate quantification. It is estimated that approximately 75% of the deck was in Condition State 2 prior to methacrylate treatment.
The methacrylate treatment remains effective. No new cracking was noted during this inspection.
(58) (6)DECK RATING =
(36a) Rail Code 0000
JOINT/APPROACH/RAIL ELEMENT INSPECTION RATINGS AND NOTES
RAIL INFORMATION
(36b) Transition (36c) Appr Guardrail (36d) Appr Guardrail End 55Roadway Speed MPH
JOINT - APPROACH - RAIL
Element DescriptionElem Env Total Units Qty in each Condition StateDefect/
