Check the gate raise limit switch.
Replace the main gear reducer box leaking output shaft seals.
Drain the main gear reducer box gear oil and have it analyzed. Refill the gearbox with new gear oil per the manufacturer's
recommendations.
Both centerlock bars are dry and have broken grease lines. Reconnect broken grease lines and make sure entire contact surface of
both bars, guides, and receivers are greased.
The west centerlock gear reducer is missing the top fill plug. The interior of the gearbox is open to rain and debris. Drain the gear oil
and flush out the gearbox. Replace the fill plug.
** Update 6/1/21** the gearbox oil level is low and needs to be refilled.
One of the lights next to the south hoist motor in the south machinery room is burned out. Replace the burned out light.
The doors of three sections in the motor control center are missing their locking mechanism. Insall new doors' handles and hardware
so that they are operational and lockable.
The South Traffic Gate Raise Contactor (no. 211R) was chattering badly during operation. Replace this contactor.
The South counterweight sump pump runs, but does not pump water and is drawing low amps. The motor cover was removed and
the pump drive shaft is spinning. The counterweight sump had about 2' of standing water in it at the time of inspection. Pump out the
standing water with a portable pump and inspect the pump inlet. Either the pump inlet is clogged, or the pump impeller is damaged.
Repair the pump if possible, or replace the entire unit with a 2 HP submersible model with a built in float. **Update 5/18/20** upon
arrival the south counterweight sump was nearly full of water. Replace the sump pump and discharge line.
Some of the bridge machinery grease fittings have been greased recently, many others have not. Create a list of all the grease fittings
on the bridge, and give each point a number and document the location. Go through the list and systematically grease every point on
the bridge and document the date in the bridge log book.
The counterweight pit sump pump on the North side has a significant leak in the discharge line and the needle valve for the oiler has a
corroded tip that allows oil to flow freely even when the pump is off. Repair or replace the discharge pipe as well as the needle valve
for the oiler. **Update 5/18/20** upon arrival the north counterweight sump was completely flooded. Replace the north sump pump and
discharge line.
The counterweight pit sump pump on the South side has a malfunctioning coil for the oiler. It appears to be open (electrically).
Replace the coil.
Once these repairs are complete, adjust the drip rate to the line shaft bearings to about one drip every 3 seconds.
Dist Target
Dist Target
Dist Target
Dist Target
Dist Target
Dist Target
Dist Target
Dist Target
Dist Target
Dist Target
Dist Target
EA
EA
EA
EA
EA
EA
EA
EA
EA
EA
EA
Status
Status
Status
Status
Status
Status
Status
Status
Status
Status
Status
PROPOSED
PROPOSED
PROPOSED
PROPOSED
PROPOSED
PROPOSED
PROPOSED
PROPOSED
PROPOSED
PROPOSED
PROPOSED
