EARTHQUAKE <br /> After the Earthquake: <br /> 1. Emergency coordinators will check the area; employees will meet at the <br /> evacuation meeting point. <br /> A. Check for injuries. Apply first aid. Do not move seriously injured <br /> individuals unless they are in immediate danger. <br /> B. Clean up any spilled materials. <br /> C. Check for gas and water leaks, broken electrical wiring or sewage lines. If <br /> there is damage, turn utility off at the source. Check building for cracks <br /> and damage, including roof and foundation. <br /> 2. Common Sense <br /> A. Do not use the telephone unless there is a serious injury or fire. <br /> B. Do not use the water, it may be contaminated. Emergency water may be <br /> obtained from water heaters, melted ice cubes and toilet tanks. Do not eat <br /> or drink anything from open containers. <br /> C. Do not use your vehicle unless there is an emergency. Keep the streets <br /> clear for emergency vehicles. <br /> 3. Final Points <br /> A. Turn on your portable radio (car radio) for damage reports, information, <br /> emergency service directions or instructions and news reports. Cooperate <br /> fully with public safety officials. <br /> B. Be prepared for aftershocks. <br /> C.
