• ECSRFX <br />EIV6& <br />t MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DOCUMENT <br />MAY 18 2015 <br />Appliance Recycling SOP ENVIRONMENTAL page 3 of 14 <br />HFAITH nFPAPTm;:NT <br />manner that could result in the release or prevent the removal of these materials, <br />including but not limited to: <br />6.7.1 Mercury, found in switches and temperature control devices. <br />6.7.2 Used oil, from compressors and transmissions. <br />6.7.3 Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), and other <br />non -CFC replacement refrigerants injected in air-conditioning/refrigerant units. <br />6.7.4 All metal -encased capacitors • Any parts that contain encapsulated <br />polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) or Diethylhexylphthalate (DEHP). <br />6.7.5 Any other material that is a regulated hazardous waste. <br />6.7.6 Records are retained for at least three years. (HSC §25211.3) <br />6.7.7 Records demonstrate compliance with the applicable requirements and are kept <br />onsite, and available for inspection upon request by DTSC or the local Certified <br />Unified Program Agency (CUPA). <br />,6.7.8 The following records are kept under the appliance recycling program: <br />6.7.8.1 Receiving documentation showing the weight and quantity of <br />appliances received, and from whom they are received. <br />6.7.8.2 A log of appliances from which MRSHs are removed that shows <br />the date, generator of the appliance, type of appliance, quantity and <br />type of MRSHs removed, and how the MRSH was handled (for <br />example, drummed for off-site recovery). <br />6.7.8.3 Shipping documentation for shipment of appliances from which <br />the MRSHs have been removed. <br />6.7.8.4 Shipping documentation for shipments of the removed MRSHs. <br />6.7.9 Regarding the materials that require special handling, record: <br />6.7.9.1 Quantity of each material, by weight or volume. <br />6.7.9.2 Method used to recycle, dispose of, or otherwise manage each <br />material. <br />6.7.9.3 Name and address of the facility to which each material was sent. <br />6.7.9.4 The number and types of appliances from which materials that <br />require special handling are removed each year <br />Printed copies are uncontrolled. <br />This copy valid only if revision letter matches that of controlled document <br />
