N
N
05 February 2015
AGE Project No . 07- 1529
Page 2 of 5
SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of the work includes the drilling and installation of one ( 1 ) deep-screened
monitoring well , two (2) deep-screened injection wells and three (3) shallow-screened
groundwater monitoring wells . The scope of work will include the following tasks :
• Permitting and pre-field work activities ;
• Pilot drilling ;
Monitoring and injection well installation and development;
• Well installation reporting ;
PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES
Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the SJCEHD and City of
Stockton ( Encroachment) . In addition , an update to the health and safety plan presently
on-file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance
Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety
and Health Administration , U . S . Coast Guard and U . S . Environmental Protection
Agency , 1985) . Prior to mobilization , each proposed boring/well locations will be clearly
marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert.
DRILLING
AGE proposes to advance a total of six (6) pilot soil borings to depths of 55 feet bsg
(shallow monitoring wells) and 120 feet bsg (deep monitoring and injection wells) . Soil
borings will be advanced using a truck-or track-mounted drill rig equipped with 8 .25-inch
hollow-stem augers . Proposed well locations are illustrated in Figure 2 . Soil samples will
not be collected during installation of the proposed wells .
WELL INSTALLATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Proposed pilot borings will be single-completed as shallow and deep monitoring wells
and deep injection wells . The proposed monitoring/injection wells will be screened at
depths between approximately 40 and 55 feet bsg (shallow monitoring ) and 100 feet
and 120 feet bsg (deep monitoring/injection wells) . Depths of the screened intervals
may vary or be reduced overall according to hydrogeologic conditions encountered
during drilling . Following installation , each well will be developed to maximize water flow
and minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during pumping
Advanced GcoEnvironmentaI, Inc.
